I have been waiting for and trying to get a good shot of this male Lazuli Bunting for about five days now. He would show up when the light was junk, on the ground in a pile of sunflower seeds or about the time I’d spot him something would spook off all of the birds in the yard. When I looked out the window today he was sitting on the birdbath. He got a couple of drinks and then was acting like he was trying to get up the courage to take a bath. He hopped around the edge about halfway and gave up on the idea and jumped up on the branch.
It has gotten to where the camera for birds sits on the kitchen counter and the screen is off the window. You have to get the shots when and were you can.
Terrific shots! He looks like he’s definitely a regular customer!
Thanks Al,
I wish he was. Few and far between.
