1961 Corvette

While at the Springfield Car show yesterday I was shooting low angle shots of a ’53 Bel Air. To get the angle I wanted I had the camera just about on the ground and was using an angled view finder so I could see what I was doing without having my chin on the grass….

Back from vacation..

We had a great time in Peoria and Rockford. When I get images sorted I will get some of the drag racing from the RT 66 Nationals into a gallery on here. I also need to get some of my traveling companion , Stuffit, up here. More to follow.

Melted Snow

I took off on Sunday and went shooting with a friend from the local photography club. We headed up in to the Oregon Cascades on the Aufderhide Scenic Byway in search of mini water falls on some of the many creeks that fill with snow runoff this time of the year.  We managed to find a few of them that were still running pretty strong. In making a run up an old logging road to one of my favorite East looking viewpoints, we did find there was still some snow hanging around at the 5000 foot level.

Working With Zerene Stacker For Added Depth of Field

Zerene Stacker is software that allows you to merge together images taken of the same subject at different points of focus and merge them together for a deeper depth of field. The trees are in full bloom here in the Willamette Valley

Standing in line for lunch yesterday at Lewis and Clark College in Portland I spotted this partially lighted tree. I did have the trusty point and shoot with me. Back light is hard to tame but I was pretty happy with this shot. Be sure to click on the image for full size.

The Twisted Twelve
