Smoke Play

I need some shots for a “Simplicity” theme and decided some smoke images would be fun. They may be a little complex for the theme but it was fun to get out the smoke and flash and play around a little bit in Photoshop. Be sure to click on the images to see the larger ones.

ML on 5D MKII

I went out last evening to work with the HDR bracketing feature in the Magic Lantern firmware on my 5D MKII. The images are more of a test under some pretty harsh lighting than trying to shoot “WOW” photos. I’m pretty impressed with what it will do so far. There will be more testing this…

EPS April Entries

My three entries for the photo club digital competition for April. The mums are a 25 frame stacked shot. Spoon and fork are 3 frames stacked and 3 image HDR. Paper boxes are just normal downtown Eugene. 8mm fisheye on the MK II. (click for larger view)

View From Kelly Butte In Springfield, Oregon

A couple of five image HDR shots using the 8mm Rokinon fisheye lens. I was using the 40D for these so the image filled the frame. This view is looking East towards the Oregon Cascade Range. When the clouds are not backed up you can see peaks The Three Sisters from this location.
