Valley Of Fire Bighorn

On a recent vacation to Las Vegas we spent a day wandering around at Valley Of Fire State Park about 40 miles north of town. I had been watching for Bighorn Sheep for a couple of days as the day prior we had been down at Hoover Dam.

After sitting out a short road closure due to the filming of a Mercedes commercial we wandered over to Mouses Tank. and ran across this small group of the sheep.There were five of them in the group and from what some locals said, they are pretty common in that area.

A few Autumn images from past years

We have entered my favorite time of the year. The comfortable days and cool nights along with shorter daylight start the magic of nature with the changing colors in the leafs.
